BACK AGAIN FOR YET ANOTHER SEASON OF POINTLESS COMPETITION AND A BIT OF CRAIC!

So Ulster have somehow staggered through the off-season and managed to head into the new one with some sort of team both in the back room and on the pitch. As we start another season with absolutely no idea what sort of Ulster team we'll be able to field and with very little to look forward to but another year of disappointment and mediocrity why don't you spice your weekends up by joining our predictions competitions. There will be separate competitions for the newly Pro 14 and the Super-duper better-than-ever not-quite-the-Heineken Cup, the Six Nations and as a little bonus I'll even try to throw one together for the RWC2019. So there will be plenty of opportunity ho hone your skills and show off your predicting prowess.

The first round of the Pro 14 is now open for your predictions to give you plenty of time to analyse the teams and their prospects and make your picks.

So it's welcome back to all our returning players and if you haven't played before why not join in the fun. It's free!

The first round closes at 7:35pm on Friday 31st August

WE HAVE OUR FIRST LEADER!!!

Ulster dogged it out for a well deserved win over a dangerous looking Scarlets and got their season off to a decent start. And we have a new entrant (or at least a new name) as leader of the first leaderboard of the season. Congrats to OldMan who beat returnees eggsss and Loosehead1984 to the top of the pile.

The next 2 rounds of the Pro 14 are now open for your predictions. With only one round gone there's plenty of time to play catch-up. So even if you missed it please feel free to join in and give it a go.

Leaderboard after 2 rounds

Rank Entrant Points
1 kraggie 177
2 eggsss 168
3 loosehead1984 161

Ulster came from 17 points behind to overcome a dangerous Edinburgh. After a lacklustre first half a much improved performance in the closing stages saw them score 3 converted tries and a last minute Cooney penalty to take the honours.

OldMan was unable to keep his top spot and slips to fifth with Kraggie leapfrogging second and third to claim the lead over eggsss and Loosehead1984.

The next 2 rounds of the Pro 14 are now open for your predictions. With two rounds gone there's still plenty of time to play catch-up. So even if you missed the start of the season please feel free to join in and give it a go.

Don't forget the url of the predictions site has changed so update your bookmarks now! Details in the post above this one.
