Sometimes it makes sense to just try to ignore well known kn0bheads.
It is a man's own mind, not his enemy or foe, that lures him to evil ways.

My point had nothing to do with an official renaming of the province post 1922 or anything like that, that map is from 1720.I'd have said that Connaught is to Connacht as Ireland is to Eire and you're not supposed to call
Ireland, Eire if you're writing in English or you'll always getting someone complaining about it.
I take your point that about Connacht Rugby even though linguistically it's like a mixture of two languages and is neither good english nor good irish.
Yes, that's me in the avatar!

I agree. Not winning at home to Connacht would be a fairly poor result. We have some quality back in the side. Hopefully it's enough.Shan wrote:I think that Connacht, for all the fancy play they are capable of, have a soft centre which should be exposed by any reasonable home team. Of course if Ulster gift them chances they have the ammo to run in a few tries which would make things difficult. However if I was an Ulsterman I would not be happy with a defeat at home to this team. Though that is not to say I wouldn't have my own concerns about the strength of my own team.Dave wrote:Do you think we have the team to beat them though? I think I may have covered the lot there Dave.
I have my own tv channel, what have you got?

Re: Connaught game
Are there any Dunnagall players in the Ulster team tonight?
I'm not arguing -

I would say it would be a very poor result and on the back of last week would Do some serious damage to confidence. This is not a kids team we are sending out and there aren’t too many top players to come in and sort it out.Dave wrote:I agree. Not winning at home to Connacht would be a fairly poor result. Anyway, confident we’ll win and that it will be our Biggest home winning margin so far this season
