Ireland captain Rory Best has admitted he expects to retire after this year's Rugby World Cup in Japan.
The 36-year-old Ulster hooker will win his 116th cap in Sunday's Six Nations match clash against France in Dublin.
"I think it's fairly certain that the World Cup will be the end for me," said Best whose international dates back to 2005.
Best hopes his Test swansong could be leading Ireland to a first-ever World Cup semi-final, and maybe even beyond.
I have my own tv channel, what have you got?

International retirement or retirement from pro rugby?

Ditto

I miss being 5' 9" now

More to the point, I miss having inter-vertebral discs that weren't protruding or herniated. :(

Have lost at least an inch and a half in recent years due to them being squished ... and it hurts (and I don't mean my pride)

Maybe it’s a good thing, allows other Hookers to develop

I agree. Mcburney specifically. I wonder will we see Annett back? Wus look in danger of being relegated and i rate Annett.
I would hate a long strangulated goodbye as per Tammy and GLU.

Has he learned how to hook yet?

Looked a decent player a few seasons back when hookers didn't need to actually hook, but when they reintroduced the hook, there were times when the ball was just stuck in the scrum and not finding a way back.

He wasn't alone in that, btw. I assume any hooker these days at least knows how to make a hooking motion, even if the ball is fed to the second/back row?

How long is it he's been away now? 5-6 years? Presume he must be hooking ok if he's still making a living at it.
