Where’s Baggy????
Don’t post on here much but do lurk-a-lot. I’m missing the old guy and Tender as Baggy lite is just not doing it for me. I think he has fallen foul of the Mods once again but please cut him some slack as the place has the makings of Tumbleweed city what with Dave and his cryptic one liners!

Bring back Baggy!
Re: Where’s Baggy????
He did sign off after some snowflakes took exception to some remarks he made.
I hope he changes his mind and returns, because it’s been as dry as a stick since he left.

Aye. He hasn't gone away, ya know!Jackie Brown wrote:He'll be back
I think he's giving the mods a well belated deserved Christmas pressie- they can stand down and relax a while.

Never wrestle with a pig. You end up covered in muck and the pig loves it.

Have to say that I miss him too. Although his views on life, society and faith are a world apart from mine, he invariably makes me think. Yes he is a tad outspoken at times, doesn’t suffer fools gladly, and his diatribes can make you flinch, but if we can’t listen to and evaluate opinions different to our own it’s a very monochrome world. I think some folk just have too thin a skin when it comes to hearing things that challenge them. So far as rugby is concerned, he is without peer on this forum - he knows his stuff and he is missed. If he has been banned it’s time to allow him back.

Challenging views is one thing but the amount of personal abuse thrown at those holding those views was more often as not totally over the top and uncalled for.flatpass wrote:Have to say that I miss him too. Volunteer at an animal sanctuary; it will fill you with joy , despair, but most of all love, unconditional love of the animals.

Personal abuse is only that if you take it personally. In every job I’ve ever held, including the ones were guns were involved, I’ve encountered way more abuse than anything Baggy ever spouted in his own eloquent style.
Indeed the norm is to out do one another and constantly raise the level of insults, but we’re all grown ups and as such we understand it’s not meant to hurt or cause real offence.
