He’s predominantly a tighthead, but can play both sides.
Are we signing a loosehead as well or is the plan to keep him at tighthead?

Rumours were suggesting that another LH was being sourced or at least attempts made. I would like to think we are still looking. It seems Herbst could be on his way so this lad might be a replacement for him.

If that’s the case, we need some of our academy / second string back row forwards to improve dramatically. There is a huge drop off in quality after Coetzee, Murphy, Reidy and Timoney. There have been a few promising glimpses from Jones and Rea senior has had injury issues which have probably hampered his progress. I’m still vaguely hoping Deegancan have his arm twisted to come up but that doesn’t sound likely. Is it too soon for McCann?

McCann's still an u19 but I wouldn't rule out him and Allison possibly making their debuts next season.

We have Marcel, Carter, Faddas as NIQ with Milasinovich IQ, so one NIQ still to go with a possible loose head from Connacht IQ which leaves 1 x NIQ and a possible 5yr project so let’s wait and see what Bryn & Co manufacture next 6/8 weeks.

So far I’m happy with what’s been announced thus far!

If it's in this morning's Belfast Telegraph you can be sure an announcement is on the way

The best of luck to Jack in moving to Belfast even though Leinster fans are getting a tad fed up with the loss of players to the other provinces.
Oh well, just have to crank up the conveyor belt again.

Time to redraw the fictional map then. A fairer distribution of resources would avoid this issue.

So if we give you Louth and Meath from Leinster, that means you get the Kearneys and Dev Toner?

I trust that will satisfy your territorial demands?

Slowly but surely we are moving to the New Zealand style for distribution of players
