Flights & hotel booked for Quinn’s away. Thursday to Sunday.

My 1st visit to the stoop but I’m told it’s a good venue 👍

Prediction time

Current seeding - End Round 5
1 Leinster (Q) 24 (+105)
2 Racing (Q) 22 (+71)
3 Exeter (Q) 22 (+62)
4 Toulouse (Q) 22 (+56)
5 Clermont (q) 20 (+86)
6 Ulster 17 (+15)
7 Saracens 14 (+30)
8 Gloucester 14 (+21)
9 Northampton 14 (-29)
10 Glasgow 12 (-12)
11 Munster 11 (0)
12 La Rochelle 10 (-20)

Benetton (0) Vs Leinster (5) - Leinster win with try bonus
Lyon (4) Vs Northampton (1) - Lyon played a 2nd string team away to Leinster, expect them to play fully loaded and win
Exeter Chief (5) Vs La Rochelle (0) - Exeter to win with bonus, I think La Rochelle with only an outside chance will throw the towel in
Sale (0) Vs Glasgow Warriors (4) - Glasgow to win no bonus
Harlequins (0) Vs Clermont (4) - Clermont to win, don't think they will get bonus. Normal french laissez faire
Ulster (5) Vs Bath (0)
Munster (5) Vs Ospreys (0) Win comfortably and run up a big score, giving them a better points difference on other clubs finishing on same points
Saracens (4) Vs Racing 92 (1)
Montpellier (5) Connacht (0)
Toulouse (5) Gloucester (2) Expect Gloucester with still a mathematical chance of qualification to go for it and stop Toulouse running up a big points difference, meaning Toulouse will finish below Exeter on points difference for seeding.

Predicted seeding - End Round 6
1 Leinster (Q) 29
2 Exeter (Q) 27
3 Toulouse (Q) 27
4 Clermont (Q)) 24
5 Racing (Q) 23
6 Ulster 22
7 Saracens 18
8 Munster 16
9 Gloucester 16
10 Glasgow 16
11 Northampton 15
12 La Rochelle 10

There you go, there's my guess.

If it were somehow all to go mammaries up on Sat, any 2 from the following four results would see us through?

Lyon bt Saints at home
Weegies get less than 5 pts at Sale
Racing win at Sorries
Toulouse beat Glaws at home

So basically it boils down to (if I understand it correctly):

- If Clermont win, then we are away to either Exeter or Toulouse.
- If Clermont lose, then we are away to Racing.

Heres hoping Clermont win then! I'd much more fancy our chances in Sandy Park or Ernest Wallon than in Paris.

If Exeter and Toulouse both end up on 27points, anyone know the points difference swing for Toulouse to go 2nd. Hope tae fack it is to be Exeter 3rd place so I can get to the match.

Hhhhmmmnnnnn, that’s actually not too bad. I reckon Toulouse at home to Gloucester have a better chance of racking up the points than Exeter at home to La Rochelle. Here’s hoping.

Still a small chance of a Home Quarter as well, most likely scenario is we need to bonus point Bath, Clermont to lose and not get 2 bonus points v Quins and Saracens to beat Racing with Racing getting no points, also need a 56 point swing so hammering Bath is required. Other scenarios would be Toulouse losing to Gloucester with Toulouse getting no match points or Exeter losing to La Rochelle with a 47 point swing.

And pigs might fly !!!

More important is to WIN and get a quarter place -- and remember then that on any given day any given team may be beaten --home or away . 1999 once more.

I'd like Racing to beat Sarries just to take them out of the comp.
Assume an the other results go as you say, would make Racing 2nd seed, Tolouse /Exeter 3rd. Suspect Toulouse would end up ahead on points, so play us in the QF.
Munster scrape in, just, and get to go to the Aviva for a humiliation.

Let's beat Bath first. Then I've seen enough to be confident that this coaching team will have a gameplan to beat anyone, remember we lost by only three lousy points last year against Leinster, with a dropped ball by JS.

Our European cup win record in 1999 was appalling.

Only won two matches iirc.
