Will Addison

Any news as to how the injury position with Addison is progressing. Love to see him in the World Cup panel but is there any prospect of this bearing in mind his injury?

No chance I’d say, even if 100% fit now he doesn’t have enough credit in the bank to justify selection without playing himself into it, and there’s no opportunity

We will the pi$h the pro 14 with the players we will have available. Quick ball to the backline and it's try time.
I have my own tv channel, what have you got?

To turn that dream into reality requires an out half and scrum half of quality and the ability to vary the nature of the attack,----continuously shuffling the ball along the backline becomes too predictable .

Do Ulster have those assets and how deep is the well?

Providing we don’t pick up any serious injuries in pre-season training I would follow Dave’s views rather than Rums negative rant.
Of course Rum’s views are supposed to be sacrosanct.

not a negative rant but a truthful observation-- we do have a decent backline but it needs to fed -- are the half backs good enough if Cooney makes the plane and what have we in reserve if Shantheman gets injured ?

Nice to note on the Ulster site that both Addison and Gilroy are training again.

Yeah saw that too, not sure if he is in with a chance given his versatility or not. Time will tell but he is a lovely football player.

Hope he has a great game and doesn't get crocked. He's a lovely mover who reminds me of Jared who I always loved to see attacking from deep, doing what Kearney often tries and fails to do. Ulster will be a far better attacking force with him to bring some subtlety to the backline. Ireland too of course.

Looking forward to him linking up with faddes this year. Smart footballers at 13 and 15 make a huge difference. With the wingers we have im hopeful for some exciting rugby this year.
