Harlequins Away 13 Dec

Post by TopPoster »

Tickets are on sale from Harlequins already. Is there a consensus out there what stand most travelling brethren are aiming for or where UR allocation will be? LittlePoster and I heading up from Hampshire.

No sign of the Bath tickets yet.

Ulster apparently get their allocations for the away Heineken games - 6 weeks ahead of the game. Ulster allocation will no doubt be spread thinly across all stands.

Forward planning at its best. I’ll take a punt. Think last time when it snowed one of the stands behind the posts was looking very red, white and noisy.

I see the harlequins tickets are on sale today, what stand are the majority of our supporters going to ? Also checked the harlequin site and you can purchase tickets there at 10 percent cheaper

Have paid about 50 quid direct to Harlequins for the South Stand - there were quite a few Ulster fans in there last time in the snow.

The Shack 68 opposite the Cabbage Patch is the designated Ulster meet up boozer I am told. Bar underneath the stand post game is good (not Leicester good mind).

Have located The Shack 68. Don't arrive into London City airport until 3.10pm on Friday. Quick DLR to nephews pad, unload bag and asap get on rush hour train (are tinnies allowed?) to Twickenham, hopefully in time for a pint or two in the Shack - and some free flegs? Slainte. Weather looks ok for the weekend. Looks pretty awful for Election Day. Hope to make it to Parliament Square for some fleg waving on Saturday morning and then to pub for the Munster & Leinster games. Is that O'Neills place (Queen Street?) still ok for rugby viewing?

Think the bar may now be Philomenas, 40 Great Queen Street. Anyone been there recently?

Philomena’s is absolutely fine. It’s where the London NISC watch the football. It’s obviously a lot less handy for getting to the ground than a wander from the likes of The Shack 68.

Mike is talking about the Saturday.

More chance of watching the rugby on the tele there than trying to catch it in Belfast from recent experience.

I’d take the Albany over the Shack on game day.

However, my network of contacts is such that I’m hopeful of a pint with the legend that is Adam Jones after the match....

Philomenas is grand and always shows Ulster games if yer ever in da big smoke looking for somewhere to watch.

Always a decent crowd in for Heiny games and have even heard the odd rendition of SUFTUM in there.

They will show other games for sure and have any football on in the smaller room

Bloody cold in Lionelland today.

Off to see Adam Ant tonight at Brixton Academy - he'll be glad of that highwayman jacket.
