Ulster v Zebre MoTM

Post by fermain »

A much better performance in front of a home crowd and in awful conditions. Plenty of positives but still stuff to work on.

BUT, who was yer man of the match?

Can we vote for the least worst man of the match?

Is that not what we usually do?

He does seem to have an uncanny knack of getting a try when we need one.

Which is probably the only reason he still makes a living as a professional scrumhalf. The basics of a 9 - quick, clean and smooth service - isn’t his forte.

As we've noted before, he's Paul Marshall lite, and that's not the worst thing you could say about a scrum half. Anyone know where Marshall is these days? I seem to remember something about a serious family illness, how did that turn out?

Shanahan ain't much like Marshall, hardly has a decent break on him at all, much better support lines though of course is very good at reading where the ball is going.
