In case you hadn't noticed there is an important game on Sat

Post by VanTheMan »

No doubt - details of the plans are somewhere.....................................

The only thingy I can find is a clock counting down on UR webpage.

Does anyone have the inside track on what's happening?
  • [/What time will the gates open? Will the seats for the Blazers and mates have cushions? Will the Blazers be allowed to join in when the rest of the ground is standing up for the Ulstermen?
Will there be flegs for everyone who needs / wants one? or will it be first come first served for limited numbers of giveaways? Is the contingency - the nostalgic white plastic bags!!!
Has Sparky managed to get a ticket or event a decent area to change following the refurb?
Is there any pre game entertainment / build up planned by UR? Apart from photos on the big screen and Sparky dancing?
What plans do the URSC have? Will they have any special guests for photo opportunities.
What noise limit have the noise pollution staff placed on the supporters? Is the allocation to be equally split between Ulster and visiting supporters? Will proper timeslots be allocated specifically for visiting supports? Will Right Said Fred be leading the singing by our guests?
What will the average wait time be to get a drink / Will the mobile beer trailer & temporary bar on either side of the Family Stand be in place or have all facilities been moved to below the new/old stand? If you are on the East Terrace, Aquinas end where will the nearest point be?
Will Mount Charles be offering any early bird / opening offers? How many of the bar staff will have poured a pint before?
Where will the food outlets be set up? I guess the mobile coffee dock behind the new /old stand beside the old toilet block has finally been moved.
Will the Church, Mount Merrion Ave be serving hot drinks and snacks as usual?
Is it true Rory McIlroy is bringing Caroline again to the game?
Will Pete & Marty have a charity crossbar challenge?
Will the PA system work properly and deliver coherent simultaneously to all parts of the ground? At what time will we hear Taxi for McCall?
How many helpful EventSec will be deployed?
Is a book being run on the number of MLAs who turn up? I've heard a number have had their photos taken in Ulster Shirts in Stormont to "Show Support" in the hope of winning two additional tickets or have their photographs on the big screen to introduce themselves to their electorate in advance of the next elections. Will the number of MLAs in attendance exceed the average number of MLAs in the chamber when an important debate or vote is scheduled?
Will car owner Black Volvo FEZ 1x, still park across a driveway? How many FEZ supporters will try to buy a FEZ vehicle registration number?
    Any post game entertainment planned?
    Last orders? and closing time.

Will there be Cheerleaders?
And if so how many and when?
What will they wear and from which section will they come onto the pitch?

I can answer your question - what are URSC doing?

@ URSC InfoPoint

We are not sure if we will have a guest player on account of player commitments with major sponsors – if we get conformation we will post here. We will be open for business as usual, with ticket sales for the British & Irish Lions 40th Anniversary of the unbeaten tour to South Africa. Lions skipper Willie John McBride, the blindside enforcer Stewart McKinney and centre Dick Milliken will be our guests. Tickets are also on sale on PayPal on www.ursc.co.

We also plan to have our next edition of the club magazine, Stand Up available for collection. If you cannot pick this up on match night don’t worry – we will post your copy out the following weeks.

Membership – we have 1,074 signed up so far. If you joined within the past few weeks and have not received a membership pack please let us know.

@ the Bus Stop

In the hope of a successful result in the Quarter Final, we have provisionally booked six buses for Dublin for the Semi-final weekend. We hope we have not offended the rugby gods by so doing. Full details may appear on www.ursc.co in due course. Normal pricing would apply: Members £20 return, Others £25 return. All Juniors £10.

We have also booked a bus for the Munster game, scheduled for 10th May, 1830 KO. We should be home around one o’clock on Sunday morning. Tickets will go on sale on PayPal shortly, as well as being available on the Connacht match.

what a stupid post. Waste of people's time reading such nonsense. The barrage of excellent questions is destroyed by one moronic question:
How many helpful EventSec will be deployed?
Climb up onto the top of your house and start screaming: 'stand up for the Ulstermen, stand.......'

They will probably outnumber the Sorries fans

The great URmeister in the sky answers a few more:
10 Things To Know Before Match Day

1. Match Update: This weekend will be Ulster’s twelfth consecutive sell-out game at Ravenhill this season. On Saturday a record number of fans will enter Ravenhill Stadium for the first home quarter final in 15 years. Ulster qualified as undefeated Pool 5 winners with 26 points and 17 tries. They will take on a formidable Saracens side who qualified best pool runners-up, scoring 217 points in their 6 games. Ulster will be looking to overturn the fortunes of last season and continue their Heineken Cup winning streak at home on Saturday.

2. Ticket Update: If you purchased tickets for this game that are to be collected, the Ticket Kiosk will be open from 4.30pm and is located at the Onslow Parade gate on the Ravenhill Road side of the ground. For more ticket information you can visit the Ticket Office (located behind the Food Village in the reception of Head Office) from 4.30pm - 6.30pm, during half-time and 30 minutes after the final whistle. 2014/15 Season Tickets are available to purchase at these times.

3. Match Programme: The Ulster Rugby match programme will be on sale from 4.30pm in the stadium. The programme contains ‘The Inside Track’ with Tommy Bowe, Johann Muller, Paddy Jackson and Jonny Bell, guest articles from Richard Mulligan and Rod Nawn, a Q&A with David Strettle, Darren Cave and Chris Henry, local rugby news, a #showURsupport gallery and in-depth interviews with Dan Tuohy and Ulster's ex but Saracens current head coach, Mark McCall… to name a few. There is also a chance to WIN a meal for two and two ticket to Ulster v Connacht, courtesy of Greens Pizzeria.

Hidden inside 15 match programmes are £500 worth of Hastings Hotels vouchers, and also hidden inside 10 programmes are meal vouchers worth £20 for Greens Pizzeria - pick up an Ulster Rugby programme in the stadium for your chance to WIN!

4. Digital Match Programme: For those of you who can’t make it to the game and are watching from home or in the bar (Sky Sports 2) you can access a digital version of Saturday’s match programme by clicking here.

5. Bar Update: Two brand new bars will be in operation to the rear of the Grandstand for Saturday’s game - the ‘Heineken Quarter Bar’ is convenient to Entrance doors 1 and 2 at the rear of the Grandstand (furthest away from Memorial Archway) and the ‘Clubhouse Bar’ is suitable for those entering via Entrance doors 3 and 4 (closest to the Memorial Archway).

6. Travel Update: Why not try the Bus this Saturday? For only £3.50 return, you can travel to Ravenhill on Translink’s exclusive - Metro Rugby Bus. The Bus departs Europa Bus Centre 60 minutes before match kick-off and picks up at Chichester Street (SS Moore, 55 minutes before) and East Bridge Street (Central Station, 50 minutes before kick-off). Visit translink.co.uk for more information.

Park and Ride facilities are also in operation this weekend, located at Pirrie Park on the Ravenhill Road side of the ground and also on Montgomery Road along the Mount Merrion side of the ground (opposite Podium for Sport). There are plenty of car parking spaces available and free buses run constantly along these routes from 90 minutes prior to the game until 90 minutes after the final whistle.

7. Ulster Rugby Charity Update: So far Ulster Rugby has raised almost £17,000 for our Official Charity Partner, Cancer Research UK. Tonight volunteers will be carrying out a bucket collection within the stadium to help us reach a target of £20,000 before the end of the season. Your donation will fund pioneering research into cancer treatment at Cancer Research UK’s Centre in Belfast.

8. Grandstand Update: All seating in the Grandstand can be accessed via the rear of the building. For ticket holders in Block 1, 2 and 3 enter via Entrance One. Ticket holders in Block 4, Block 5 seat numbers 86-99 enter via Entrance Two. Ticket Holders in Block 5 seat number 100-113 and Block 6 enter via Entrance Three. Tickets for Block 7, 8 and 9 should enter via Entrance Four.

The West Terrace located in front of the Grandstand can be accessed via the steps at each end of the terrace and also via two tunnels leading from the ‘Clubhouse Bar’ directly on to the terrace and via two tunnels leading from the ‘Heineken Quarter Bar’ directly on to the terrace.

9. Stadium Update: The no smoking restriction has been extended - smoking is now prohibited within the entire stadium bowl, this will include all terracing. Smoking is only permitted outside of the stadium enclosure.

10. BT Fan Pic Update: To celebrate Ulster’s first home quarter final in 15 years on Saturday, BT will host the first ever multi-billion pixel image taken of the crowd at Ravenhill Stadium. This image will be hosted on the Ulster Rugby website allowing fans to tag themselves and share their image through social media. Keep an eye on the Ulster Rugby website, Facebook and Twitter for more details on the #BTFanPic.
