Connacht Away 11th April

Post by UlsterNo9 »

Have I missed priority booking period for this game? I've an awful feeling I've missed it.

Thanks in advance.

Was just thinking that myself. Have hotel booked and noticed the tickets are for sale on tickets.ie.

Thanks CS, no ticketmaster booking fee on tickets.ie, I'll have some of that.

Never made the Connacht trip but figured since we're out of Europe and guaranteed a home Pro 12 final ;) what better opportunity to go for it than now.

Can anyone confirm main stand terrace is the location of choice for the Ulstermen when in Galway?

It has been, but they've done up the other side in recent years (Clan terrace) and the crack was good over there last year.
Can I come out from behind the sofa yet?

Might give their newish Clan terrace a visit this year. I presume it has convenient bar somewhere in it.
Also trying to persuade wee Jane into a trip - I do sometimes miss her on my trips :) and was wondering if any of
you have ever stayed here http://www.theconnacht.ie/?gclid=CLmYiq ... tAodc1EA0g ? A bit different to our usual Galway hostel 4 to a room stuff but I've won the lottery so why not :)

Clan Terrace seems the only place that tickets are currently unavailable so we are going for Main Stand Terrace as usual.

For future reference - there is an efficient bar directly behind the clan terrace.

Is that not for home supporter or have you seen UR flags there before?

Have seen the occasional Ulster fleg on the far side (now the upgraded Clan Terrace) and stood there once on a day trip about 10 years ago when it was rather bleak wet and windy (I recall that on the Supporters bus we were given free plastic capes with Ulster logo on them) but think now that its covered it is the main terrace for Connacht folk so presumably sells out first.

Good of Damien Dempsey to go on tour just before this game to provide a bit of pre-match day entertainment.

Stopping over in Thurles, Mullingar (must make sure my limbs are sufficiently weary), Galway and Boyle.

Will I need to hire a 4 wheel drive....?!

Clan Terrace, Main Terrace and Stand all sold out on tickets.ie. Enclosure at 44 euro and behind the posts left at 27.50 euro left. I take it there was no Ulster allocation sale and you buy direct from tickets.ie?

Checked with UR, you just buy direct, no allocation.

Four of us on main stand terrace. Been to Galway for ulster game once before and it was great so hoping for more good memories. Connacht fans were good company in the pubs after the match :red:
