Are we the 'In Crowd'
Tom Hill (an UR bake book warrior) says that those on the UAFC are the 'In Crowd" ……
Is UAFC the new black?
Is UAFC the new black?

Well Cockers, I should certainly hope so, at least that is the basis on which I decided to participate some years back.Cockatrice wrote:Tom Hill (an UR bake book warrior) says that those on the UAFC are the 'In Crowd" ……

I abhor public facebook, it is something to be endured to placate one or two distant relatives, as for Twatter............Jesus Christ Almighty God, the Blessed Mother O'Jebus and that scabby wee donkey, it is a wasteland of people entirely unfamiliar with the beauty of language.
I have never knowingly looked at either The Official UR Bakebook nor the Continuity URSC Bakebook sites unless directed there to guffaw at the fool that is Harry Taylor (can't remember if he is Junior or Senior - the one who is afraid of Gary) or similar chubes. As for Twatter, what's the point?
So yes, we must clearly & obviously be several cuts above the hoi polloi that frequent those dreadful places.
Of course, unlike them we are not "real" or "true" supporters & our world is seldom brill, neither are we sufficiently fervent enough to SUFTUM nor "get behind the lads".
I assume that most here are like me, snide, moany ould gets who like nothing better than to see Ulster fail so we can whinge on at length and run down great men, like Anscombe, Fit C, the Black Heart of the Forward Coach, the hapless wee baldy ginger from Lisburn, Jofus Backache, Niall who sits and watches videos all day & soon no doubt we can formally kick off the KIss Out Movement or KIss Off for short and Bryn, the man with apparently no signings, not even the one he thinks he had.
Sure it's fu@king despert.
I'm assume the chube known as Tom Hill was using "In crowd" as a disparaging term? If not, forget that last few hundred words and ask him to get in with the in crowd ..............or maybe he was the cheerleader entreating us to "get behind the boys" aka make some noise.
NEVER MOVE ON. Years on, I cannot ever watch Ireland with anything but indifference, I continue to wish for the imminent death of Donal Spring, the FIRFUC's executioner of Wee Paddy & Wee Stu, and I hate the FIRFUCs with undiminished passion.

Re: Are we the 'In Crowd'
A lot of people on here are totally disparaging of the FB crowd, or at best, don't pay them the slightest bit of attention ..... why the sudden urge to worry about what they think or say now?Cockatrice wrote:Tom Hill (an UR bake book warrior) says that those on the UAFC are the 'In Crowd" ……

Nothing to see here - move on!

You appear to be under the impression we are hear to talk about rugby Grumps. Well, there's a big world out there and most of it is enough to pish off an ould grumpy. (no offence, I'm talking about me)

Sure it wasn't a typo and he meant the IT crowd? Does our Tom need his hard disk looked at?

I prefer here for in depth analysis of players and matches.
Re: Are we the 'In Crowd'
I'll never forget the endless cries of "McKinney for Ireland" on Facebook after the Munster game where we sent the A team down and somehow won. That accurately sums up their knowledge of rugby. Haven't read it since.
You haven't seen me at my best yet. Let's be honest, you probably never will.

Volunteer at an animal sanctuary; it will fill you with joy , despair, but most of all love, unconditional love of the animals.

Re: Are we the 'In Crowd'
Because naturally all UR/URSC Bakebook contributors have the same lack of knowledge of the game, just like all the UAFC people are experts (and all Muslims are a threat to US national security). What about those who contribute both places? What about those who used to contribute here, but have given up due to staleness of discussion?ruckover wrote:I'll never forget the endless cries of "McKinney for Ireland" on Facebook after the Munster game where we sent the A team down and somehow won. What about those of us who used to contribute on the two very different formats but got kicked off?
(Yes Russ, we know - serious questions!)

Re: Are we the 'In Crowd'
Anyway, forget "In Crowds", I believe this little ditty more accurately reflects the sort of people who dwell here. Its called "Dirty Rotten Basturds" ..........................................oh yeah, and it's a quality bit of punk.

Still think we are more like a group of grump dirty rotten basturds, still other opinions are available ........if ill advised & unfounded.Kofi Annan wrote:in-crowd

One thing is unchallengeable, anyone looking for something other than bullshite from dozens of different angles is barking up the wrong tree seeking wisdom on an internet forum.
