Rabo Final.

Post by AyeYerMa »

Where is this likely to be if we're in it?
Can it be played at the 'Hill?

Awkward bloomin' clash of dates for me, but I might be able to work around it.

From what folks are saying here, the new stands are to be in place in time to play it at Ravenhill.
Can I come out from behind the sofa yet?

Assume its possible, Leinster have staged finals at RDS and the Rabo site says it is 18000 capacity.

Well if it's not going to be available for the World Police games at start of August i dont see them getting 18,000 into
Ravenhill in May.

The old stand will probably still be up in May.

The old stand is being taken down as soon as the season is over. That means it will still be standing when the Pro12 final is played there.

Minimum capacity for a Pro12 final is 18,000. While I'm at it, a healthy reminder that the minimum capacity for a Heineken Cup quarter-final is 15,000.

With the old stand, capacity will be 18,700 - enough to hold a Pro12 final. Once it is rebuilt, capacity will be 18,300.

So there will be no problem unless the two end stands aren't completed, however it seems like they will be finished with plenty of time to spare.

Is it a 50:50 ticket split for the final?

No, I think because we finished higher in the league we get the home advantage so we get more tickets.

I think it is 50:50 rarely sells out anyway

I like your confidence Ruckie! :thumleft:

I'd imagine Ravers would sell out no problem, especially if Leinster are there.
