What position did you/do you play?
Given its a rugby forum, im curious to see what positions anyone has played or does play, just a bit of craic
Also if youve been shifted about a bit, what was/is your favourite position?
6/7/8 for me, favourite of them being 8

Played hooker throughout school and for a year or two after before moving to 6... haven't played for ages though...

I'm wee, in stature anyway, so I was a 9. I was stuck in at hooker a few times. I think I must have pee'd off the guy in charge and he chose that as a punishment.

11 was the preferred position. As a right footer found it more comfortable than 14 from a kicking perspective. Terrible boot on me tbh. Good pace, reasonable defence but zero footballing skills
Also played a fair bit at 13, occassionally at 12, once for the school at 15, once at 7 and played scrum half in a 7s tournament. All very much "back in the day".

Re: What position did you/do you play?
Played most of my one season out on the wing, though in a very desperate game I had to be called into the back row.....
Also had a go at inside centre after being begged to return and ended up against the biggest heffer I've ever played against - needless to say that put an end to any hopes of a comeback lol!

6, but mostly made a guest apperance at water boy
You've got to get your first tackle in early, even if it's late.
Re: What position did you/do you play?
Started at 3; then lost a load of weight and moved to 6; then went to uni and was dwarfed by guys who'd been drinking nothing but protein shakes for six years and moved to 15. Had the pace of a Nissan Micra and the turning circle of a cargo ship, mind, and gave up shortly after!
Re: What position did you/do you play?
Being versatile, I played 4 or 5, but preferred 4. REALLY social rugby only and a long time ago now.
Played a season at 14 at school - never had the speed, but the size of me compared to most 13 year olds playing wing in those days would have put you in mind of Jonah Lomu. The dodgy kidneys helped the overall illusion.
