Eurotable?

Post by cables »

Are the Eurotable Rugby Rankings no longer updated on a weekly basis? Anyone know anything?

http://www.eurorugby.com/index.php

Were the rankings considered to be less relevant when the ERC produced their own (basically end of season only) rankings?

No idea cables. I used to go there regularly but I haven't been so kee this season for some reason

Looks like it hasn;t been updated since the end of last season and a search doesn;t turn up an active replacement

Oh no it isn't!

Doesn't make good reading, though.

We are below Treviso now  sounds about right though.

Bizarre,

It definitely wasn't visible on the web when I checked a while ago but now it has been updated and there are historical rankings from Augusty 2008 for every week in between. Maybe they were having server issues.

Can;t honestly complain about the ranking though.

The guy that runs the site is an exiled Ulster man - maybe he was trying to hide how far we had fallen, but finally had to come clean on it

Good that you took some time out Cap'n. Think PWRM and I had written it off and then you pop up again when we had switched off to it.

Thanks for the heads up.

I have been playing with a Celtic only ranking (CL and ML) from 2003 (5+ seasons results). It is different in many respects to the Eurotable methodology and I only include CL/ML. However, it is interesting (to me) that the two different rankings can be viewed as not vastly different - if the rankings are viewed as 'groupings' of 2/3 rather than individually.
