Are these ones old or new?

I suspect new.

Is there not a Pile Driver in the first photo hard at work, in which case they are new?

Think there is JB. I was editing my post to suggest new while you were posting.

First photos of the construction that I have seen. Would be good to have regular photographs of progress a la LR.

There are definitely new - they could be seen behind the reduced terrace at the last match.

Noticed that also at the last game.

They seem quite close to the current Terrace (1000). Given that the final Terrace will be around 4X current, it would seem that these piles are for the new terracing and not the new building. If I have it right.

I would have thought the piles will indeed go under part of the new terrace, but part of the funciton of the new terrace will be to stop the stand behind slidign off its pretty perch and onto the terrace below, hence the piles.
