Andre Bester's ''Private/Independent'' Rugby Academy

Post by Tighty »

Heard a rumour that Andre Bester has, or is in the process of, setting up a ''Private/Independent'' Rugby Academy for ambitious young players who wish to improve their skills.

Anybody have any details of this venture?

Sounds crazy to me is he trying to get a few more kids who are perhaps a grade lower in potential than those in the UR academy, if so then he is probably lining them up for a huge disapointment by trying to steer them towards the professonal game as not all of the academy players will ever get full time pro contracts. How does it work, has Bester got a financial backer or are the hopefulls paying his wages ?
