Residency Changes

Post by Neill_M »

So the 5 year rule has been brought in from Jan 1 2021, so in theory anyone signing prior to that will still be under the 3 year rule or do you have to qualified under residency by the cut-off date - which would mean it would impact signings for 18/19 season?

In other news, a player can only be locked into a country playing 7s if they are 20 years old and countries will be banned from next year from using their U20 sides to lock guys in (impacts France, Italy and South Africa).
