He should move to Ulster to get game time.

Too many penalties given away now. They have made it too easy for SA with some gifted tries.

Agnew and Dunleavy haven't taken a step back against a huge SA pack.

We are well stocked in the back row, maybe we should convert one to centre :D

Or even scrum half instead of Stewart, any idea which club Stewart is with next season ?

Hume looked handy. Big unit showed some lovely hands in the build-up to a try. A few carries up the middle.

Stewart not great. He was charged down for a gift of a try after 30 seconds and Ireland were playing catch up from then on. Short passing game was fine but a slow enough delivery to the 10.

Dunleavy and Agnew were both very industrious. Willing carriers and made some hard yards. Agnew in particular didn't take a backward step. He tackled all day and played the 80. Good engine. They were up against a huge SA pack.

Dalton didn't play. He went off against France not knowing what day it was.

Hume - A few big physical carries against a big South African side. An above team average performance.
Stewart - Box kick charged down and try scored as a result after 30 seconds. Never really regained confidence. Am I correct in remembering that he had a few box kicks charged down in his Ulster appearances? Poor performance.
Dunleavy - Very good in patches, carried well.
Agnew - Solid
Dalton - did not play
Aaron Hall - came on for Dunleavy, contributed postiviely.

Baron and Doris were exceptional. The Ireland scrum was decimated time and time again by South Africa, I would hazard a guess that we were not far off double figure scrum penalties. We were still in it with 10 minutes to go at 22-17 which was staggering due to the dominance the Saffers had at set piece.

Sunmary: A fairly resilient pack up against some big units. Doris is the stand out. Scrum was crushed at times. Backs weren't great apart from the centres. Hume at 12 and Tommy O'Brien at 13 were decent. Wingers weren't great and half backs not great either. Sylvester is solid enough at fullback.

He had about 10/15 mins from the bench. Decent cameo. Seems to have grown a bit from his Ulster debut.
