Laidlaw saying they're not blaming the ref ... immediately after blaming the ref

A lot of poor stuff but they got the job done.

Kearney three breaks and on each occasion failed to apply rule 1 — break - pass — support .
As for Joey the less said the better but it was fairly obvious the guy doesn’t cut it at out half .
How frequently did Ireland avoid passing to him ?
Especially when within the Scottish 22
Joey while being naturally a gifted brain fart out half becomes too predictable when told to apply a script and a liability regardless of the type of game he plays at out half at International level .
My man of the match based on his first half performance was Stockdale .
But that result speaks volumes for the strength in depth currently in Irish Rugby - with 3 positions proving difficult — scrum half — full back and the own goal at out half .To be fair scrum half may not be as big a problem as the other two .

I thought Stockdale turned the game around and should have had another score if Bobbo had looked.. Irish back row gave the motm to an Irish back row. ( unlike Ferris who gives his to anybody but a backrow )

Re: Six Nations 1
No doubt taking Stockdale off was key to winning... I think FitzTWAAT was further quoted as saying we should listen to what he was actually saying and in doing so I think the only player he mention in his entire critics of the Irish defence was Stockdale oblivious to any part Earls may have played in one of the tries.
As elsewhere I think Scotland lost that and it could have been very different if they hadn't made so many mistakes...
I note Sexton went off as a blood replacement and half expected him to return watching the clock to see how long they could stretch it out... didn't see any blood either but maybe I got that wrong..

Scotland are very poor losers. Every decision given against them was booed. They even booed during the Irish kicks. Laidlaw looked like he was sucking a lemon as he walked off. Miserable little man.

As long as I am watching rugby Scotland have been like this. It is the reason I always love to see them beaten by any opposition. Miserable shower.Jetstream wrote:Scotland are very poor losers. I don't care much about MOTM awards. It's just one guy's opinion.big mervyn wrote:I thought Stockdale turned the game around and should have had another score if Bobbo had looked.. Irish back row gave the motm to an Irish back row. ( unlike Ferris who gives his to anybody but a backrow )
However I do care that Bobbo didn't spot the pass. However he was the only one making any breaks in the second half so I'd cut him some slack. Back three looked far better today with him there.
Both wingers scored so stat-wise they had good games.
