Jason on the plane!

Post by cables »

Jason White has been called up for the Lions.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/rugby_u ... 626665.stm

He will not arrive until sometime Wednesday. He will be closely following Brent Cockbain who was called up on Sunday and he in on the bench on Tuesday!

Gavin Mairs in the Tele tonight was reporting that Lions supporters shouted at SCW in a Hotel "Hey Clive, I've got my boots with me!"

Anyone recall who, was not in the tour party, was there and was called?

No announcement yet which is a bigger joke as two have been ruled out. No offence to White and Cockbain but with 4 matches remaining 3 for White what is the point in them coming out.

I read that by Gavin Mairs ... it read like he was smiling or more likely giggling as he wrote it.

Sharp Jackie, but do you recall who the "unlikely" Lion was in my post above?

Not on the tour.
Was there.
Called.
On bench for last Test.
Don't recall he actually played however.

Both correct.

Howley was injured. Nicol was in Australia as a Tour Guide and was called. I recall thinking at the time that that may become one for trivia quizzes.
