Where will it all end?
Hopefully home wins in March v Russia & Israel willsee us soar back into the TOP 100.
I fully expect Qatar to challenge for the title in 2022.

They are currently in the process of

1. Searching the globe for top quality young players around 12-18 years old
2. Bringing them to Qatar on football scholarships - attend school and play
3. Buying big name players like Raul and bringing them here, to coach the youngsters
4. If the youngster is good enough, they get given a passport, and asked to play for the national side

This tactic has won them something like 3 recent Milk Cups, and by the time 2022 roles around they will all be between 22 and 28.

North Korea won the last world cup, remember!

I beg to differ.
We have soared in to the top 100 at 97 just ahead of the mighty Qatar and the United Arab Emirates.

Need to get beaten a few more times then if we rise up the rankings when we get beaten by Israel

think we "soared" due to not playing Russia last week-end when others had matches as that was posted yesterday before the game.

I imagine we're fooked again now :-)

The official rankings won't reflect the Israel result until April 11 Rooster.

The current ones are as of March 14.

The rankings prognosis tool suggests that NI's points will drop from 367 to 285 as a result of last night. This would mean a fall to 117th, below Azerbajan and above mighty Bahrain.

Hi guys,

I've been on this forum for Ulster Rugby purposes however I am also interested in the attendance motivations of Northern Ireland football fans as part of my final dissertation as I comparing the motivations of both sports.

Would it be possible that you could fill out this survey (its very short and doesnt require alot of brainpower :))

http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/7WG2YN8

Could you also pass this on to other folks that you know would attend the matches

Thanks so much (and sorry this isnt rugby related!)

Watched the highlights last night. Looked like a great performance from NI right from the 1st minute. Also looked like a cracking atmosphere - reminded me it's time I put in a bit more pre-season work on the throat and lungs.

It was as good a performance as I have seen limiting the Russkis to no shots on target when we could have had a couple more.
Its the way we play the ball on the floor particularly out of trouble that amazes me, particularly when we normally expect it to be row zed when we are under pressure.
The words slick and Norn Ireland dont usually go hand in hand but we were last night , no one was panicking as we looked comfortable on the ball for a change.

We have been playing well recently but the the results have not gone for us as we have been adapting to this style of play which is easy on the eye.
Bear also in mind they were a quality side at full strength and we had a number of key players out, I reckon all things considered this result/performance is up there with the best of them.
Well done Michael O`Neil and Pado looks like a new cult hero of Windsor.
All we have to do is back it up........
