I don't consider gold and snooker to be proper sports.

NI sends athletes to the CW games from sports that are otherwise organized on an all-Ireland basis - boxing and athletics to name 2.

Indeed, best of both worlds for those guys & girls. Maybe if and when Jeffrey Donaldson persuades the Republic to rejoin the Commonwealth more can enjoy the benefits. Ponder folks. :)

Sport, IMHO, should be something which requires a modicum of athletic activity. I'll reluctantly give you darts, but if you start putting in board games, where does that stop? Is draughts a sport? Tiddlywinks? :banghead:

That discussion didn't proceed as Jeffrey may might have anticipated. Most of the contributors thought that might be feasible within a United Ireland

Never played Kendo but I see that in Norn Iron it is governed by the British Kendo Association.
But I fully accept that most sports on this lovely island of Ireland are administered on an All Ireland basis and for the avoidance of any doubt I have no problem with that.
And sure isn't the Orange Order as well :)

Another fine win. This time away to the mighty Estonie. The dream lives on.

Love the sarcasm Image. Thanks to all our players despite many of our residents not supporting the national squad. A win is a win, so the seam does live on.

Supporter of Northern Ireland since 1963. And proud that to have seen my country qualify for two world cups and a European championship I have and still believe. Image
