Unbelievable really but they deserved a bit of luck to crown the last two or three years of fantastic performances.

Dodgey decision. A run that should never have been given. Was the umpire Russian?

You can only imagine the furore in the Engerlish media if the situation had been reversed.

England won fair and square.

Next stop Lord’s a week on Friday.

I’m a bit worried HWM will spot me as I’m taking a client.

World champions my ar$e. This is real cricket. ODI is the equivalent of 7s.

England still bookies favourites to win but what a morning!

Glad to see that proper order has been restored in today's first session.

Poor and all as Australia are, Engerland have to be seriously worried about their top 3. Maybe Leach should open in the Ashes

This is now Leach's highest first class score.

Root should be at 3 (and I'd be inclined to make Buttler captain if Root doesn't inspire for the rest of the summer).

I've no problem with giving Roy an extended run. He's shown he can make big scores on the international stage.

Burns and Denly are county stalwarts only and I could see Dom Sibley getting some game time at the Oval, if not before.

Key first few overs tomorrow. We need that last wicket early. Dont want to be chasing 225 or more.

Still see England as favourites. I can see Ireland's batting wilting under pressure. Too many dot balls and panic setting in as scoreboard not moving.

Bowlers have done a decent job in all 3 tests so far.

Here's hoping for a big upset tomorrow though!
