What are you watching?

I noticed that there is the ''What are you reading'' and ''What are you listening to'' threads so thought I would make one to see what people like to watch in their spare time. I know most things on TV are crap right now but there must be a few decent things out there.

I'm currently making my way through the series 'The Walking Dead'. Heard people talking about the new series on Twitter etc so thought I'd give it a watch. Have to say it is very very good but really not one for the light hearted!!

I quite liked the Walking Dead but still have the last episode to watch on my Sky+.

Zombies are great and I'm looking forward to "World War Z" when it is released next year.

The new scandi-crime series "The Bridge" is pretty good.

Correct there Mike re "The Bridge". Cracking stuff, a slow burn but
intriguing. Only seen 1-5 thus far, remainder recorded for "in case
of emergency break glass". What of the "blonde" one, character
way out of allignment with earths orbit!! :thumright:

Also watched the first series of another "Nordi" lately. "Those that
Kill"? again different but bloody good.....especially the last episode
of the first series.

Usually watch them at the weekend, the big problem being by the
time I get to the end of the first btl of vino/port........the subtitles
become a bugger. :drunken:

Damian, has to be one of my all time favourites.
So much so that I have a signed first edition hardback
by the author Ambrose and a large print signed by
Maj Winters who passed away @ 17 months ago.

BoB was groundbreaking just like another fav of mine
........Tony S and his crew!

Loved the first series of Walking Dead, second left me entirely cold. I'll confess to being a fan of the comics and while I don't expect (or even particularly want) the series to follow the plotline of those (it would be virtually impossible) I do expect it to be true to the vision of the original writers. It's not, it's Dudley Do-Right fights zombies for truth, justice & the American way. This is not Walking Dead.

Unfortunately from snippets received from friends who were involved in the shooting in Scotland WWZ is going down the same route.

Yeah, now that you mention it, I remember reading rumours to that effect on imdb. Original book is a series of interviews but in the film, Brad Pitt is the heroic journalist, fighting to save the world and his loved ones...

yep it's class - the plot (so far, 7 episodes in) makes up for the mildly irritating bits.

interesting, I too liked season 1, kind of lost interest in season 2 - so what is Walking Dead (the vision in the books I mean)?

Sylvester is my all time fave too. A relative bought Wee Girly all the classic Looney Tunes, Pink Panther and Tom & Jerry DVD's. I love the fact that she adores them all.

It beats Justins bloody House any day :banghead:
