A spokesperson has already come out saying Boris didn't mean to suggest that he would protect EU people living in the UK after explicitly saying he would. He is a charlatan and a liar; he can say all he likes because it would appear that being a liar means you can hold the highest position in the land as aul Donald has proven.

He achieved a lot for the arms industry. :D

Most politicians lie or at least stretch the truth. However these days they can get away with blatant lying as long as the show is good. It seems some folk simply want their political leaders to be entertainers now. Boris is entertaining as is Trump as comedy acts which would be fine if they were not leading global leading states. They both should really be back on the TV where they can do little damage.

Not. Human rights aren't a political issue, and shouldn't be.

Assume this is in relation to UR taking part in Pride?

I think it's great that they are because male dominated sports can be notorious for creating an environment where players feel they can't come out for fear of bullying etc. Sports stars are role models and if they are seen to support the LGBT community, that environment gets safer.

Well done UR.

If everyone is equal why is it necessary to have a Pride ? parade .?

What it is a recognition that equality does not exist for the simple reason each and everyone of us is different. No two people are identical and there is really no such thing as equality other than the fact that each and everyone us will die at some time with or without the help of the medical profession.

What is offensive is the the idea that their type of difference is more important than everyone else's -- its not !!

The difficulties they face in life are no greater than those of anyone else -- into every life alittle rain will fall -- we are all members of some minority -- be it children -- OAPs--- drug addicts -- race or colour .

Why do they think they are special ?

First time I totally agree with Rum!
From the rolling glens of Antrim through the hills of Donegal we will stand and shout for Ulster as we win both scrum and maul from the lovely lakes of Fermanagh tae the shores of ould Lough Gall we will scream and shout for Ulster as we beat them one and all!

The unique difficulties they face can perhaps be illustrated by taking a quick look at the list of openly gay players who have represented Ulster and Ireland … and don't try to tell me there aren't or haven't been any gay players on the books. There must have been. That's a good enough reason for UR to be involved in this.

Why have they to openly gay ?

What is so special about being gay ?

Everybody has sexual hang ups of some sort nobody jerks off in public without being arrested — or sexuality is a private matter and should be treated as such .

When playing I never asked anybody if they straight - gay - if somebody squeezed the balk bag - it wasn’t assumed to be a sexual advance but an unfriendly act worth of an appropriate response .

I assume you are openly heterosexual, in as much as you feel comfortable attending social events with your partner as a couple, publicly show affection (within the normal social parameters) and marry? I don't expect you to carry a placard.
