Should we erect a memorial to HWM for his courage under fire?

Good of the powers that be to make it the same weekend as the Sarries game.

The Christmas market will be up and running too so I'm very much looking forward to my first trip over of the season from a drinking point of view.

Tickets for The Proclaimers at Mandela Hall on Saturday as well!

I note you used the singular form Russ

Deliberate or accident?

(NB - no one will believe you did it deliberately, but funny anyway)

Plenty of people in late on Saturday afternoon, although I was still feeling a little tender after drowning my sorrows on Friday.

The heather ale from Williams proved to have restorative qualities of the highest order.

A good few large half pints pre match last Friday resulted in total memory loss of second half of the game. Happy days.

And Weatherspoons (Forty Foot) Dun Laoghaire this Friday from a similar time should hopefully have same effect on me for the Leinster V Ulster game :)

That quality paper the Bel Tel had a story on Monday about a lack of beer at the beer festival this year. This is nothing new, went to it a few years back on the Saturday and a lot of the beers were sold out.

Tele 'journalist' probably put in a bulk order for whatever beer was left, so he could write the story about there being a shortage.

And of course if there was a lot of beer left at the end of Saturday night it would have to be thrown away and the festival would make a loss, without serious increase in prices. This actually happened when the ulster Hall was closed for refurbishment and the festival moved out to the Balmoral showground. A lot less people attended, vast amount of beer was thrown away and the viability of further beer festivals in Belfast was seriously questioned.

Indeed.

That story was a load of rubbish.

It was hardly a shock that the champion beer had sold out was it?!

It's a good event.

I reckon the music may have been a touch loud but maybe that's just me getting old.
