No question that Ashcroft is a nasty piece of work who is narked for being snubbed in his attempt to buy some power, however that doesn't mean he is lying, neither is he the source of this part of the book apparently. Frankly I find it so hilarious that I am unconcerned about the respectability of the source or the motives involved. We used to use F*CK THE PIG for lineout calls at school.
