The Irish for balaclava is apparently ... balacláva

Given that Easter sees the start of the Marching Season I think two useful words to learn this week are :-

A) Orange Order - Ord Oraisteach
B) Orange Lodge - Ioiste Oraisteach

Election = Toghchan + useful link ..... https://www.focloir.ie/en/dictionary/ei/election

The link gives you the option to pronounce it either the Connacht way, the Munster way or the Ulster way. No Leinster option, and quite rightly so.

If you happen to be in Glasgow on 17th or 25th May 2019 you may find it useful to know that the Irish/Gaelic for GLASGOW is the quite similar GLASCHU.

About time we took a step up and learnt a whole song I one week.
Here's one you may recognise and you can sing along & learn words as you read the lyrics.
Don't see it being sung much at Ravenhill for a year or two yet :)
