I'm reliably informed that last night's trouble in Piccadilly Garden all started when a Rangers fan, whose granny
came from Tibet, thought he glimpsed the Torch on the big screen, he lobbed a bottle (as u do), screen went blank
and it then all got a bit out of hand.

Nice one Moondance!

But to get back to the Far East i gather that Tibet has had a lot of earthquakes over the years but because of its low
density population has luckily largely avoided such disasters as the recent tragic one in nearby Sichuan.
Worst one in Tibet seems to have been an 8.6 one back in 1950 killing 1526 people - a lot of them in fact drowning when
a river was blocked by landslides and the water then burst threw the blockage flooding the valley downstream.

Did u no ??

He was born on 6th July 1935 (which is the same day as Juanita Dale Slusher who wisely changed her name to Candy Barr)
and his parents called him Lhamo Dhondrub, he then changed his name to Jamphel Ngawang Lobsang Yeshe Tenzin Gyatso (why indeed i hear some of u mutter) and then thought the better of it and settled for the rather catchy Dalai Lama.

Just thought the Ulster public had a rite 2 no.

and it begs the question - what mite have happened if he had called himself Candy Barr and she had opted for Dalai Lama?
