Ok folkes, need a favour...

Post by ColinS »

Right, I've joined a gym (N'Abbey Fitness First if anyone's a member!), and I drink a leading milkshake after training.
This leading brand of Milkshake costs £1 a bottle, which mounts up to £6 per week for me, and for an unemployed student, that's a lot of money!

Fortunately though, this leading brand are offering something on their website.. free coupons.
Unfortunately, it's one coupon per household, and I've already used it for my house, me aunts, me grans, me friends houses, so I'm thinking you guys could help me out!

http://www.forgoodnessshakes.com/sample.aspx

You just fill in the details, they post you out a wee coupon booklet, if yer feeling generous you give the coupons to me in exchange for a pint / coffee / hug / whatever really within reason.

If yah's do decide to help my cause, ta very much.

Notice how I never advertised the company ;)
Some people say I used to be called Colzo. Don't listen to them people, I talk much less sense than Colzo.

So, let me get this straight

You are prepared to exchange a "pint" costing YOU nearly £3 for a coupon worth £1?

And this is saving you money?

Is it one coupon per household, or one coupon BOOKLET (with several coupons) per household?
I'm not arguing -
I'm just explaining why I'm right

Maths isn't his strong point Grumps.

However, if he's buying the pint at Ravenhill, it could work out well, since he can't get served

Ah you horlix Grumpy, good job you are just new here  , I was going to bring a bottle to Ravenhill of that milky stuff each week and swap it for a pint of stout.

I wasn't going to bother with that milky stuff - I was going to bring him milk - I bet he wouldn't know the difference, and it would probably do him more good. Image Image
Can I come out from behind the sofa yet?

Why not try and experiment for a week or two? Don't have any post workout milkshake and see if you notice any difference. just rehydrate with water....

Otherwise, try Holland & Barrett in AbbeyCentre or Castle Court who have reductions on most times for protein powder. Mix this with some glucose (from the same supplier handily enough) and water or milk. :puker: So for £15 (roughly) you have a month's worth of post workout stuff. Therefore saving £9 (or 3 pints).

I don't work for Holland & Barrett by the way.

I'm taking protein shakes on top of the shakes.

applied for holland & Barrett too, so that I can try to get a bit of discount!

Good to see you have all the angles covered Colzo.

You could try reversing Ithryn's suggestion and go to the gym the morning after a heavy session. What about Wednesday night out then the Thursday morning (7.00 - 8.00am) circuit class in your new gym? That's a wee bit of a 'man test'.
