Wednesday May 26 marks the 21st anniversary of the passing of the club's most successful ever manager, Don Revie.
The Don sadly lost his battle against motor neurone disease on May 26 1989 in Edinburgh when he passed away, at the age of 61.
Although as a Man U fan it is my duty to hate Leeds I will never forget how the press hounded Don Revie out of the English job and then because he walked straight into a mega money job in the Middle East, they branded him a national disgrace and traitor, the bar steward s!
Revie was a quality manager.
Before you insult somebody you should walk a mile in their shoes. That way when you insult them you'll be a mile away and have their shoes!

Good to see BBC starting their Championship coverage with Leeds v Derby today @ 17:15. Looking forward to seeing this match and hopefully a winning start for Leeds.
It is a man's own mind, not his enemy or foe, that lures him to evil ways.
As an unashamed Leeds basher I have decided to relent somewhat thanks to the kindly act of a couple of Leeds lads giving up their seats in San Javier airport for a couple of flight delayed knackered looking old coffin dodgers ( me & mrs Backaway) on Sunday evening.
Mind you they did say they were ManU fans (no that is just a blatant lie they were real Leeds fans and proud of it.)

Bechio signing was a great coup - hopefully there'll be money to spend in the transfer market in Jan for SG to spend - if we can get the defence at home to sort things out, who knows? Leicester away (that gobshi$e Roy Keane ), Portsmouth and Borough at home over the hols should be interesting. Looking forward to the game vs Arsenal youth in the 3rd round of the cup as a bit of a diversion . MOT!!!

I'd echo the sentiments of Browner and LastKnightoftheproms. There is a long way to go yet.
However I also feel the excitement like The Boo Radleys. Seeing Leeds up to second makes me want to throw pessimism in the bin and just believe that good things can happen.
I assume you must like the music group "The Boo Radleys". I like them myself. One of my favourite songs of theirs is also quite apt for me....." I wish I was Skinny".......Well I wouldn't like to be skinny exactly but just a bit thinner that I am.
Being an old bloke, I can (just!) remember the 1970 cup final and replay... but it's hard not to be a bit positive - haven't been this high up, playing this well and this solvent for a long time! Next thing, we'll be buying the ground back and then Thorpe after that!
