I know folk who have pulled their muscle for years, nay decades, since before their voices broke, and it doesn't appear to have done much harm. Some of them are somewhat drawn & gaunt as you find with those who overindulge their hobbies.

Most of them are wearing glasses, the odd one with a white stick but they all seem strangely relaxed to me, as if they are free of an excessive frisson as they go about their daily bits and pieces.

Ruan has been lifted (literally) off the field in the NZ-RSA game. Looks like he hurt his knee, doesn't look promising
