They got £3000 each and left without a fight but if Jeremy becomes PM will he allow them back and if he does will he ask for the money back? Discuss with photographic evidence where relevant and/or appropriate.

I prefer "archipeligo" if you don't mind.

The British were licking USA ass and chucked them out so they wouldn't have to pay for missiles, will be interesting what happens next year as the 50 year lease to the Yanks of Diego Garcia expires.

They did not get any money for leaving but the UK government got about £6 million wiped of a US arms debt and they basically starved them out over a number of years, total injustice >threaten

My interest in the matter stems from Jeremy's position as Chair of the All Party Committee - http://www.publications.parliament.uk/p ... ritory.htm

If he becomes PM will he have to stand down as Chair?
And what would his attitude be if Mauritius (with whom we have conflicting jurisdictional claims) invades?

The God fearing Ulster rugby public surely has a right 2 no? Discuss.

For those of you who are wondering about such issues as where the Chagos Islands are, how to get there, do they have a fleg and what all the fuss is about here is a useful link to start your search for knowledge - http://johnpilger.com/videos/stealing-a-nation

I blame Harold Wilson. Does Jeremy agree?

Won't matter HWM as there is an automatic 20 extension to the lease and the Yanks won't let them back anyway, I had heard that only a few got money and they were the first ones who went off the island for medical treatment and not allowed to return, those who held out till they were starved out got feck all and probably lucky Uncle Sam didn't just bury them under a runway.

Seems like a decent enough spud.

Jeremy for leader and Dennis Skinner for shadow Chancellor!

Toryboy you are the Gatland, Corbyn is a genuine politician true to his convictions, a rare bird these days. The fact that he would be as soft a target as Millerband is neither here nor there.

I won't be here for the next election so I'd happily see him elected, just so I can hear something akin to proper socialism a year and a bit rather than the remains of Blairspeak.

Thereafter I'll be in Spain or dead, zero fecks for this shitehole will be given.

So a man who met Sinn Fein in 1984 is your target, I assume you are assuming that nothing at all has changed in the meantime, either with him or them. No wonder the fascination with 1690 is alive and well. "Got into bed with......", sweet holy fer fecks sake catch yerself on Toryboy. Next you'll be telling me he was the South Armagh sniper FFS.

As for Hamas & Hezbollah, I share his concern for them, given Israel is armed to the teeth, more than happy to slaughter non-combatants and has a military aid programme with USA through which they receive a further $3.4 billion per annum of weaponry. That's a lot of weemin & childer murdered.

Before you bleat for Israel, I abhor violence from both sides but the reality is that effectively their combat is like pitting cruise missiles with guidance systems against bows & arrows fired from several miles.
