Never forgiven Lacey for walking towards the East Terrace at the RDS with Clancey and Funky laughing away as they gave Leinster another penalty...

Well the Dragons' forum don't seem to be complaining about Wilkinson's performance.

Let me make that very clear - Dragons' forum don't seem to be complaining ! That is like being named World Rugby Referee of the Year.
Can I come out from behind the sofa yet?

I think Lacey is a good referee.
So do I.

Every ref has bad days - some have more bad days than good ones. Some don't seem to have too many good ones.

Mostly they get more right than the spectators bawling at them from the sidelines.

In the overall scheme of things though, I think Lacey is one of the better ones.

Anyone can take one game as an example to make a point, but one game in isolation does not prove a point.
I'm not arguing -
I'm just explaining why I'm right

Could be the difference in what will be a tight game.

Dorty Scarlets or are we just too nice
Remind me 9 how that worked out for us in West Wales? Oh yeah, they scored their try, that's right ............a bit like Glasgow with 14 men. We really are a stupid team, talented but stupid. If we had 15 minds on the pitch like Darren we might just win something.

And surprisingly I would have the much improved Clancy over any Welsh ref, even NIgel.

I know he's not our favourite ref, but without starting an "in fairness to ...." thread, Clancy genuinely has improved out of all recognition.     I'd take him over Lacey any time. :duck:

NEVER MOVE ON. Years on, I cannot ever watch Ireland with anything but indifference, I continue to wish for the imminent death of Donal Spring, the FIRFUC's executioner of Wee Paddy & Wee Stu, and I hate the FIRFUCs with undiminished passion.

The man we keep forgetting, Ian Davies, I always consider him relatively inoffensive and definitely not dodgy. He'll do.

Nope, that's Ben Whitehouse. He's in charge of Glasgow vs Munster this weekend.

I don't think Ian Davies has ever been young, he looks like his mummy knitted him.

Aye, and he is already a better ref than his dad Nigel.

Nigel was the embodiment of the crap ref, I always thought it apposite that his name rhymed with toilet.
