Think yesterday was a sporting Abyss for us. The sort that makes me want to sit in a dark room with a bottle of dark strong alcohol listening to Pink Floyd records

Spent a long time looking
for a game to play.
My luck should be so bad now
to turn out this way.
Oh I had to leave today
just when I thought I'd found you.
It was a new day yesterday
But it's an old day now.

Maturity in Age level rugby counts and the English backs were too mature for the Irish side .

Of the Irish team at the moment only Stockdale and McPhilips look promising in the backs but a year or two could make a difference for the others

But there are a number of Forwards who look the part .

McPhillips has been a mixed bag, decidedly a step down from Bill Johnson but his place kicking has been very steady. Lacks control over the game.

McPhilips is work in progress definitely not PJ standard at the moment but appears to have more to his game N'OC ever had .We're talking Pro 12 at the moment not full international .

Whereas some of the forwards definitely have the look of potential Internationals. in 2 - 3 years

Thought Kerins the Connacht scrum half looked a good prospect, something of the Stringers about him

Note that 4 Irish forwards feature in the team of the tournament selection Porter McBurney Ryan and Deegan PotT

Thought Stockdale might have got a mention but the SA full back made it instead but it I'm sure it was close .

Those 4 do have the look of future Internationals which is a rare assessment by me .

Since I usually consider most to be future club players rather than Pro 12 let alone Internationals .
