Saw Dunleavy playing for the U19s at the start of the season against Connacht. He really can ball carry.
You haven't seen me at my best yet. Let's be honest, you probably never will.

Reid has been outstanding this season - AND he can scrummage big time, never mind his ball carrying.

I didn't watch Jackson at schoolboy level so can't draw a comparison.
I mean I've been a big fan of Lowry for quite some time now and I think he's possibly the most naturally talented player on that Inst team but I've always been concerned that his size and kicking would hold him back.

Size hasn't held him back from being RBAI first choice Out Half for 3 years and Ulster U18 & 19 first choice. Kicking wise at RBAI he now takes all drop outs and kicks to touch. Hume is their points kicker as he was with Ireland U18 and Ulster U19, so fair enough. With Ulster at U18 level he was in the same team as Callum Smith, so again that was a no brainer. He can kick goals, he has just been playing in teams that have had 'better' kickers.

unfortunately size matters post school because your playing against mature bodies who know how to use their weight and power to the max

But the gym and time can bulk players up Paddy before 21 looked like an Autumn leaf a puff of wind might have knocked him over.

Thus it depends on the amount of work and attitude of the player whether they make it in the end

18 shows potential by 22 you should know if it can be realised .

Hopefully it's starting to come through on a consistent basis and we haven't just struck lucky with these two batches.
