Ulster v Hairyqueens
Is the pitch thawing seeing they didn't bother with the covers

Rooster ...... said as much last week when they posted a picture of it covered in snow. See the stipulation is that a game must be replayed within 24 hrs can I assume that wasn’t a rule in the Pro12 when we cancelled against the Italians?

Re: Ulster v Hairyqueens
Raining this afternoon - a lot of the snow just getting washed away.
This week is the week to watch out for temperature dips - last weekend was a non-issue for the ravers micro-climate.
Temperatures seem set to rise slightly though.

I'm not arguing -

Did the rain wash the snow off the ground?

More worried about conditions of the roads around the pitch

You should see the size of leaf blower theyve ordered from Shorts.... Basically a Rolls Royce engine with a pipe attached. Pitch will be cooked.
Always ask yourself, "What would Big Rodney do"... And every time the answer is... "Eat It"
Re: Ulster v Hairyqueens
Forecast just not as favourable as it was though and if there is the forecast frost tonight on top of slushy snow it could be panic stations, early days yet but I don't get the reasoning of not covering the pitch when we have covers and had snow warning.Cap'n Grumpy wrote:Raining this afternoon - a lot of the snow just getting washed away.

Roads will clear before a frozen pitch will thaw plus you can put salt on the roads.Russ wrote:More worried about conditions of the roads around the pitch

The hairyqueens ground staff did a great job keeping the lines visible. I hope we are at least talking to them.
I have my own tv channel, what have you got?

Whilst East Belfast was experiencing -3 to-4 last night and is expecting sub zero temperatures this evening the Ravenhill micro-climate will apparently keep temperatures above freezing. If the weather keeps freezing then UR have ground covers and are threatening to use them ..

Roads 'round Allianz are too quiet to justify gritting.Rooster wrote:They had an excuse as snow was fallingRuss wrote:Shame Sorries hadnt heard of saltRooster wrote:Roads will clear before a frozen pitch will thaw plus you can put salt on the roads.Russ wrote:More worried about conditions of the roads around the pitch
