D'arcy I think had a trial (not like that) at least. Nowadays it's: highlights reel=contract+farm.
I have my own tv channel, what have you got?

Prop (8): McCall - Warwick - O'Hagan - Herbst - Moore - Ah You - Kane - van der Merwe (Project)
Hooker (4): Best - Herring - Andrew - McBurney
Lock (6): Henderson - O'Connor - Treadwell - Browne - Thompson - Dalton
Back Row (11): Rea - Ross - Henry - Murphy - Reidy - Coetzee (NIQ) - Deysel (NIQ) - Timoney - Jones - Montgomery - Hall
Scrum-half (3): Cooney - Shanahan - Stewart
Out-half (2): Burns - McPhillips
Centre (4): Marshall - McCloskey - Cave - Addison
Wing (4): Gilroy - Stockdale - Lyttle - Busby
Full-back (3): Ludik - Nelson - Owens

Updated with implied academy promotions from UR website.. Up to 45, albeit slightly reminiscent of the tendency of Munster to name big senior squads, of which a fifth were in practice UBL players on very modest contracts to hold tackle bags..

yes he did have a trial of a couple of months as I recall. The problem with the ad for me is that, if it is indeed us advertising, it touches on a lot of sore points. Firstly our recruitment should be planned and strategic - sticking up an ad during pre-season, talking about an immediate start screams lack of preparation.. Secondly if we (and the IRFU) agree that we need to strengthen LHP options, it's daft having Healy, McGrath, Bent, Byrne and Dooley at Leinster. Dooley just signed an extension a couple of months ago, basically to be on the bench for Leinster A whenever everyone is fit, which is a crazy waste of a cracking player IMO.

The IRFU by all accounts maintain a very comprehensive list of IQ options the world over - this suggests that we're all tapped out and just hoping for something to parachute in out of nowhere..

Any news on Mr Speight?
From the rolling glens of Antrim through the hills of Donegal we will stand and shout for Ulster as we win both scrum and maul from the lovely lakes of Fermanagh tae the shores of ould Lough Gall we will scream and shout for Ulster as we beat them one and all!

or this one to be more controversial given alleged off the field activities mentioned on another thread if not mistaken.. interestingly another Ulsterman not involved as such was interviewed by the police in relation to the matter... but hey as long as you don't post on WhatsApp.
