Hmmm could have just been one of those things that can happen while drunk but there is always that possibility it was not. Who knows. What I would say is that I can imagine it would somewhat less terrorising to drown while intoxicated than when sober.

The rules around the "curse" aren't clear cut - whether it is if the 2 things happen on the same day etc or he has to score 1st etc. Obviously not a curse, but the number of times it happens - spooky.
Curses are not retrospective. Everyone knows that.

Don't want to steal Burts thunder but just read today that I passed away.
It came as a sudden shock to me discovering it as a footnote on the BBC news.
Gutted I never got to finish my latest project "Carry on Ulster Rugby" but too many people didn't want to.
Real shame because Ulster rugby has been a great comedy franchais in recent years.
Still it's been a time and I will miss you all.
Well not really as I'm off to see an Ulster deceased legends game v Angels select with Syd and Joan.
Hattie is propping for for the Angels and Jean Dysel is on the bench for the legends.

Hadn't a clue about that one. Not much the wiser after the pic. Minor character actor? Without googling, I'd go for Lovejoy?

Correct ... but he did a lot of other "minor characters" in other things.

He took Norman Stanley Fletcher hostage in a Christmas episode of Porridge IIRC.

Might have died years ago when he tried to commit suicide by running at full tilt into plate glass doors at a supermarket ... unfortunately, swooosh ... they were automatic doors.

NEVER MOVE ON. Years on, I cannot ever watch Ireland with anything but indifference, I continue to wish for the imminent death of Donal Spring, the FIRFUC's executioner of Wee Paddy & Wee Stu, and I hate the FIRFUCs with undiminished passion.
