With that pace their is a fair chance young sexton might get offered some 7s action with Ireland. Be interesting to see how he is managed in the next year or so.

I hope not, I’d prefer if he stuck to rugby.

It was a great try, pace to burn.

The 7s are an Olympic outfit not to sure how an Ulster player fits into the scene .

But might be something similar to Boxing with Nationality defined by Passport

And there are many people holding two .

Including golfers

Ron’n allow me to guide you, everyone in NI has/is entitled to dual nationality and not to be confined one way or the other by which passport they use at any given time. He could play for Ireland and at the next games for UK given the number of athletes who may have represented Kenya for example, then Canada or Finland.

The olympics is all about the show, you can represent any country on the most flimsy grounds, ask Zola Budd.

For the players development and for Ulster’s future he should not go anywhere near 7s, Sexton will be an Irish XV player, if Bryn has any sense ( ( which he has) this kid should be allowed to finish school, and direct to a full time contract. Sexton is an unbelievable talented player and mature above his years.

Ger knows his shyte, Sexton will be the new GWH, potentially in line to surpass Stockdale as the new contender for GLU - though of course Trimble retiring means Rory is currently both GLU and GLI. Sorry that’s Dr Rory to you, me lad.

Or STFU...
Sevens is not Rugby. It is Shyte. Always has been and always will be. It is to Rugby, what Harp is to lager. The discussion of it on this forum is as welcome as a swastika shaped shyte on a synagogue’s shag pile.
