I love the in-depth analysis Dave.
But I would agree his kicking yesterday was below his normal standard but the fact he wasn't substituted till the final minute speaks volumes about Joes faith in the Carbungle on the bench.
The kick offs had the appearance of a predetermined tactic, The Pumas are not a team a team to kick -off against and give them the opportunity to run back at you , but as a tactic it failed to provide possession but ensured a scrapie restart.
And if memory serves only one kick from hand actually did what it was supposed to do -- take the pumas back in their own 22. How much of the failure was due to Sexton and how much was due to The irish wings could be debated all day -- because it obvious much of the opposition strength was on the wing.

Just been looking at the England NZ game, at this stage I'm thinking we'd be better off without TMOs altogether than continue with them as is. Lawes might or might not have been an inch offside (at most) and to cancel Underhill's excellent try because of it is a travesty.
Aside: Beauden Barrett's haircut looked like he'd done it himself.

It would have been harsh to overrule the try because of a haircut.big mervyn wrote:It's travestys like thon that make it all worthwhileWeeWorld wrote: to cancel Underhill's excellent try because of it is a travesty.

Re: November test matches
Any TMO call to deny England a try is ok with me. It's either offside or it isn't, an inch or a mile makes no difference.
NEVER MOVE ON. Years on, I cannot ever watch Ireland with anything but indifference, I continue to wish for the imminent death of Donal Spring, the FIRFUC's executioner of Wee Paddy & Wee Stu, and I hate the FIRFUCs with undiminished passion.

keep walking into the marina -- and join Dave's Shyte -- it's solid and sinks to the bottom quite quickly like most of his insights .
