Many thanks for this, Damo. First match I've missed for ages and it seems like a cracker. Look forward to seeing it.damianmcr wrote:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=siNk6Sg ... e=youtu.be

Worth watching if just to listen to Healey's tears hitting the floor.

To be honest I didn't think that Zebo got anywhere near the level of boos or even those big red foam hand pointed at him (for his gesturing towards Lowry)... I know I called him a Warren Gatland when he scored but not sure that he heard me.
Apart from that some of our kick and chase wasn't up to scratch and our defence missed too many easy tackles for having a genius in charge of that department...
Yes we won but thought we might have gone for the corner in the last minute...
and as stated earlier.... Still think those organising could have made sure that the 1999 team walked around the ground or even called the team names out for those too young to remember. Plus on screen announcements had Best at both 2 and 16 as well as McPhillips on bench with Lowry at home..

Can today be the end of this "rather see 15 ulstermen bullsh1te". There is no ulsterman who would have fought harder or gave more than Marcel, O'Connor, jordi et al today. They are all ulstermen when they pull on that shirt.

Like it or not 15 Ulstermen won’t cut it. I was there today for the first time in two seasons, bused it in from the sticks, bused it up to the stadium and thoroughly enjoyed myself. Who cares where the folk were from in the shirt they all performed admirably.

I was in two minds about that, whether to go for the try BP and risk losing it, but it looked like the kicking tee was sent on from the touchline rather than a decision by Herring?? (was he captain at that point?).Cockatrice wrote:Yes we won but thought we might have gone for the corner in the last minute...
The one thing that should have happened though once that decision was made, was that with only 40 second or so (certainly well under a minute anyway), the kick at the posts should have been delayed just a few more seconds to ensure there was no restart. That and make sure the ball goes dead from the kick, whether on target or off. (Ruan could have taught that lesson )
An extra three points on the board made no difference to the result or the match points, so once the decision was made to go for goal, they should have run down the clock completely rather than leaving 4 or 5 seconds and a restart, which if we mucked up, might have cost us.

Similarly, And despite being a Lionel, I can, and do, shout as loud as most Ulstermen.
Loved it today. Had a couple of hours with my Ulster friends in the bar afterwards.
Rounded the day off with Singapore noodles in the Red Panda and the Johnny Cash tribute act in the Stormont where we met some lovely people.
And can we please move Heaven and Earth to sign MC for next season.

Well Stockdale certainly didn’t Walk the line..he went down it like a gazelle on coke. After Burns poor kicking display, I’ll bet Dan wishes we could Go To Jackson.
The Fulsome Simon needs to get his head out of his own ar$e. Did he really expect a free ride after his kuntish antics in Gay Paris?
The howls of delight when Finn completely fecked up his kick into the corner, will live long in the memory.
Our defence is laughable at times. Our line outs are as reliable as a Lib Dem Leader, but we squeaked a win and now isn’t the time to pick it apart. Let’s enjoy the moment. We don’t get many.
Tact is for people who aren’t clever enough to use sarcasm.
