In his comments, John Barclay said many times that Glasgow weren't playing badly. He was right but they simply didn't have the quality of player and organisation that we had. We were simply a better team all round. I can't really see us losing many games this year. We're no Leinster or Exeter but we'll just happily enjoy it while we can and who knows... :fleg: :fleg: :fleg:

Lots to be positive about.
Zebre played Scarlets yesterday so why not?

Best start to a league campaign since the 2012/13 season.

Had (more) trouble with the live feed at the death. Was Marcel walking around OK after the final whistle?

Ack now Merv would ye quit!

13 games won on the bounce only for Northampton to do a number on us at Ravenhill.

Anscombe first season. Ruan kicked a few long range penalties right at the death in a few of the early matches.

All culminating at #ourds

Marcell looked grand. He got up after that knock and made a few more tackles before going off.

He was walking about at full time without issue.

Between him and Marty I don't know who is more vital right now.

Good.

Marty is probably every bit as vital as Marcel.

The pack seem to be driving each other on to individual and collective heights that we’re simply not used to seeing.

Very good game from John Andrew but credit also to big Sam Carter who ran the lineout very well. Some excellent variation from Ulster. That was Carter's best game. Hopefully a sign of things to come.

Front rows frequently are normally too slow with brains to match , Wings and backs generally are to removed from the coal face to understand the problems .

The advantage of the second row is most refs have to look up to talk to them . Its a bit like a telling a a policeman to f-off. It doesn't seem like the wisest thing to do when you look up at second row. You don't want to do it too often. The converse is also true he may turn the ref into Napoleon if he comes across too hard.

Basically the 3 ideal positions for a Captain are second row --scrum half and out half .

Although the modern game is about leadership teams rather than Captains -- the Captain is just the spokesperson with a casting vote and final say.
You really do type some .

No, this is were you have to think Ulster and go for 50 points, what’s with this trying to be Leinster , trying to be All Blacks, you keep following, you keep being second best for fûck sake, be your self and lead.

Thoroughly enjoyed that! Credit due on the fitness levels, especially given the aggressiveness with carrying the ball and at the breakdown, which must be knackering, could see Marshall really struggling with match fitness. Real signs that the coaches are earning their wages.

I missed the try at the end of the first half and Faddes's try in the second half. Are Justin and me the only ones having trouble with Premier?

Mine was dreadful last night. I usually chromecast from my iphone. Switched to the ipad and it was terrible too. Ended up having to go with a dodgy stream which worked flawlessly and was a good 45 seconds ahead of the premier stream!
