You lose a second player if you go to uncontested scrums.

Maybe Zebre would have made a different call if Brace hadn’t got the rule wrong.
Thanks, Justin. I never knew that.

Just scored but this is still a dreadful stuff. Surely in the last quarter we can get a few more scores as Zebre tire.

49 - 3 and I can still say that was a shocking performance. A terrible display of lack of basic skills. And the last Ulster kick of the game from Lowry missing touch summed it all up.

Lowry got sucked into the 15v13 and displayed lack of control.
He'll learn

A pointless fixture that had the feel of a friendly. A lack of intensity at times. Very loose with possession also at various points. One to forget. Also one not to get too concerned with.

I get the qualifications about the nature of the game and the youth of the players but, all the same, we really should not have been so sloppy.

And Leinster lost to Ospreys tonight. Must be something in the air. Makes a mess of the stat that Ulster, Leinster and Munster have not lost to a non-Irish club in the Pro12 all season.

I much prefer Darren's analysis to Fez's nonsense.

I wonder if you've heard about a thing called a pandemic - it's been in the news. Apparently places where you get yer hair cut have been closed. At least I think that's wot I read through my ever lengthening hair over my eyes. The caterpillar on his upper lip does look comical though - I keep expecting it to pupate and turn into a beautiful butterfly.

Or else he's discovered a time machine and is going back to the 1970's and working as a porn star.

Another game spoiled by officials. Hats off to Zebre for their never say die attitude and at least trying to make a game of it!
Hope is not a strategy.

How does a socially distanced porn movie work
Volunteer at an animal sanctuary; it will fill you with joy , despair, but most of all love, unconditional love of the animals.

Strangely I think we might have managed that match better if it had stayed 15 v 15. The red card was correct - blatantly correct, but it did ruin the match as a spectacle, and possibly as a learning experience for some out there, but a different learning experience in a way.

Inexperience meant that some players didn't know how to react to the change in numbers and thinking it was gonna be easier, tried to force it far too early, or in wrong areas of the pitch.

I think it also triggered the substitutions much earlier than anticipated, and we have seen too often in the past that emptying the bench tends to lead to a loss of structure, and tonight was no different.

Hopefully it has been a learning experience for some, but probably not too much learned by the coaching staff tonight.
