Seems he wanted the attack coach role at Ulster when Peel left, but they went with Soper. That is via the local rag by the way.

If that's the reason he is going it seems a bit odd. Soper has done wonders for our basic skill level especially up front with fewer passes hitting the deck now than before. Payne to attack, keep soper on skills and get a new defensive coach in would have suited better. Now we get 3 assistant coaches essentially starting from scratch.
