Fairly grim looking at that.
Telfor reminds me of a ginger Nevin Spence.

not a fan of the talent coming through?
Not particularly to be honest. Some decent but don’t know how many I see been seasoned professionals.
Even tho the representation at Ireland u20 has been poor over the last number of years I have felt the talent was better than the current crop who are well represented.

I dunno, of those players listed only McCormick looks to be 1st choice for Ireland U20 this year, several are u19 so have time..
Carson and postlewaithe would start at 12 & 13 if fit and available. McCormick and Carothers up front.
Carson nowhere near professional rugby level or international u20s.
How he got into the academy ahead of postlewaite is a laugh. Up there with with Conor Rankin getting in ahead of Ethan McIlroy.

Is postlewaithe not away with 7’s? surely he couldn’t get money from the academy budget when away training with another programme?

If we had that representation amongst the forwards with no backs for next 3-4 seasons I could live with that.

John Glasgow listed at 6'6, 117kg for irish 20s. Always take official listing at this level with a high degree of skepticism but interesting.

Decided to watch the 20s game rather than the Connacht one
Reuben crothers outstanding and lead by example
James mccormick does everything very very well
Scott Wilson and James McNabney both quietly effective as well
Off the bench mcnamee looked good in the lineout and in defense and Hanlon looked about average

Crothers try just after half time very typical of him, he scores lots of them when the inches matter.
Irelands game management was fantastic, mind you they were playing against an absolute rabbel.

McCormick and Crothers were very good. Wilson and McNamee had good game, only u19 so fairly rapid rise for them to be starting the 1st game.
