I’ve never been to Windsor before.

Second only to Belfast in terms of the number of Union Jacks on display.

A very distant second.

Not a cloud in the sky here. Warm an’ all.

Time for a few pints before the flight.

Just to correct but Good Friday is a bank Holiday and public holiday in Republic of Ireland whether firms take it or not is their choice.
OK, interesting. So not everyone is off etc.
Same as here. The NI civil service get Mon and Tue off. A lot of workplaces prefer that as only one week is disrupted.

Good friday aint a public holiday in NI either. It is an English & West english thing.

I know this, as a former public sector employee who used to sit about doing nothing (even less) on good friday because all my customers were in England, then claim double time and a day in liue for coming in to support them on Easter Tuesday.
Can I come out from behind the sofa yet?

NI Direct list it as a "bank and public" holiday. Easter Tuesday is listed as neither.

The banks and post offices all close on Good Friday but the NICS does not (traditionally the staff come in for a few hours and usually clear off about lunchtime  )

I stand corrected if now Good Friday is not a public or Bank Holiday in ROI BUT it used to be, many moons ago my work patch included ROI N.I. and part of rest of UK I always ensured that my itinerary at Easter was either ROI (usually) for Good Friday(could drive home on Thursday no planes to worry about) off Friday, Holiday Monday and Norn Irland Tuesday as was holiday so best of both worlds :D :D
