Transfer chat on X that Blair Kinghorn will join Toulouse with immediate effect to replace Jaminet who joined Toulon mid-season.

Surprised if it is with immediate effect after all the hassle with the SRU over Dan McFarland release from his contract at what in effect was the end of the season. Of course he is not going to an immediate rival in the URCand it could be argued that he is getting more experience at Toulouse. And the ToP14. It does seems strange as he has just become more important in the Scots squad with the retirement of Hogg. Speaking about Hogg it seems perhaps the Best connection was stronger than rumoured at the time when he was floating himself as a potential Ulster player.

Likely to be completed within days which will mean he won’t be able to defend his ‘Assist of the Season’ award come Saturday week.

Seems Toulouse like collecting international 15s - Ramos, Kinghorn (if confirmed), Capuozzo and Malia.

Wouldn’t swap ‘em for Addison, Lowry, Moore and McIlroy!

Dupont started at 10 at Castres at the weekend which didn’t work out too well.

I’d swap Addison for any of them.

Hog would be a hell of a lot better than any of our current choices at full back, but if he would take up one of our NIQ spots then maybe not.

Edinburgh Rugby centurion and full-back Blair Kinghorn will join Toulouse after next week’s BKT URC match against Ulster – subject to medical – after a six-figure release fee was agreed with the Top 14 side.

The 26-year-old’s current contract with the capital club was set to end in June, at which point he had already intimated his intention to move to the French side, with a fee agreed subsequently for his early release this month.

Signed a deal with Toulouse till 2026.
