McFarseland out.
We’re thinking we can get by without risking Big Dave from the start which isn’t unreasonable given our record against Edinburgh, and their record against Irish teams in general.

I love wearing shorts, and am wearing them now, but I cannot compete with your commitment and devotion to the cause.

My mum used to make me wear them cos I tended to rip my trousers in the yard playing footy.

When I did that at big school she used to patch my trousers which, bless her, was akin to putting a target on my back….

Point of order.

I am shocked and appalled by the proliferation of young uns wearing thermals while playing sport. My 2 girls play footy in the Fonacab league at Solitude on Saturday mornings, and 80% of wee lads and girls (excluding mine, naturally) are covered head to toe. I occasionally watch my nephews play mini rugby and its the same there. I've seen this as early as October and as late as April ffs.

No wonder we haven't produced a decent tough bugger of a forward in forever, when all the yummy mummies are wrapping their wee pets in cotton wool for most of the year.

Point of order. At what time today is it acceptable to start pre match drinking?

Two good posts.

The second one had already crossed my mind as there appeared to be a bit of Malbec in the bottle from last night.

The second bottle, I hasten to add.

To be fair CI, I played in the back 3 and "looking for work" wasn't a thing in those days. I spent more energy jumping up and down to keep warm!

Will be a difficult trip. Quaint hybrid ground with average pasties. Annett playing for them- first time he'll face Ulster as sub? So many memories of trips there- memorably Trimbles wonder try and a blow up doll called Iris Robinson... and and Argie School team behind us trying to jnterpret and sing SUFTUM. And snow!

Hoping to see an improved showing from Addison tonight. It's obvious Dan is trying to get him game time and hopefully that turn of pace / timing will return with a body of training and games under his belt.

He’s also fortunate Lowry has been injured most of the season.

We don’t have an established alternative. Moore is still considered a centre.

O'Toole just can't scrummage at this level. Embra better than most TBF. Moore on asap.
